CHILDREN’S MEDIA ASSOCIATION OFFERS FREE 3-MONTH MEMBERSHIP
Focuses on virtual events and digital offerings to connect its national and international community of children’s media changemakers
NEW YORK CITY, April 8, 2020—In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Children’s Media Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to excellence in children’s media, is offering 3 months of free membership to new members and will automatically add 3 months to the terms of existing members.
To engage with its community meaningfully during this time of social distancing, CMA is offering free streaming events, including its inaugural virtual event, a Fireside Chat with Brad Montague and Houston Kraft. CMA also plans to add member benefits during the coming months, with expanded job board offerings, social media networking, and live-streamed events.
Founder Livia Beasley observed, “As our physical world gets smaller during the COVID-19 crisis, we are committed to growing and strengthening our community of children’s media professionals with connections in the virtual world to provide a space to lean on one another, learn together, and add wind to each other’s sails as we re-imagine how to create excellent content for children in an ever-changing landscape.”
